Sabbatical Day 5: Kambo Ceremony @inner_flight_retreat

This morning, we started the day with a powerful Kambo ceremony at Inner Flight retreat—a place that has become a sanctuary for me, a space of deep reset and transformation.

For those unfamiliar, Kambo is a traditional Amazonian medicine derived from the secretion of the Giant Monkey Frog. Used by indigenous tribes for centuries, it’s known for its potent detoxifying and energetic clearing properties. The medicine is applied through small burns on the skin, allowing it to enter the lymphatic system and initiate a deep purge—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Before sitting with Ayahuasca, Kambo is especially beneficial. It helps:

🌱Honouring the Plant Dieta: A Journey of Deep Preparation 🇨🇷

As I prepare to sit with Ayahuasca once again, I honor the sacred journey of the plant dieta—a practice of purification, discipline, and deep reverence for the medicine. The dieta isn’t just about what we remove from our diet; it’s about what we invite in. Stillness. Clarity. A deeper connection with the wisdom of nature.

By abstaining from stimulants, processed foods, and certain meat. I am allowing my body to soften and my spirit to open. This is a time to listen. To prepare not just physically, but energetically, for the teachings that will unfold. Ayahuasca meets us where we are, and through this dieta, I am meeting her with an open heart, a clear mind, and a soul ready to receive.

This journey is a reminder that healing begins long before the ceremony. It begins in the quiet moments of devotion, in the choices we make daily, and in our willingness to surrender.
